Our Chata Orion is a great place to relax with family, friends and colleagues.
The Mountain Cottage Chata Orion was erected in 1891 as an “Umgebinde” House in a style typical for the Krokonoš Mountains and is located in Velká Úpa, Municipality of Pec pod Sněžkou at the foot of the legendary “Sněžka” Mountain.
Thanks to its perfect location, Chata Orion is the ideal place for you summer and winter holidays.

Board
Modern and fully equipped kitchen available to indulge into you own culinary activities. Connoisseurs of good coffee will certainly appreciate the modern coffee machine (excellent coffee beans included).
A fully equipped kitchen is available to guests who have booked the first floor including all domestic appliances (heated-air oven, microwave oven, induction oven, dish-washer, refrigerator , kettle, toaster, coffee machine (coffee beans included)). A refrigerator is available in every room where you may store your food. Guests who have booked the apartment have their own kitchen available, which is part of the apartment.
Community Room
Stylish timbered room for get-togethers in a cosy atmosphere equipped with a large stove
A stylish timbered room with a capacity of approximately 20 guests is available in the ground floor. This room may be used for dining or get-togethers because it has features for both of these uses. Thanks to the stove, our guests will feel warm and comfortable, in particular during the winter. Of course, firewood is on stock. A large dining table, a lounge area, armchairs and a large LCD Smart TV are also available. It is self-understood that there is WIFI service throughout the entire cottage.
Wellness
For your perfect rest after a demanding day: a Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna and a Kneipp bath.
The wellness area includes a combined sauna (sauna, infrared sauna) and a Kneipp bath. There is also a separate relaxation room.
Sports
Ski bus stop approx. 300 meters direction Pec near the parking house. Maximum comfort for your ski and hiking boots thanks to a modern electric boot dryer
The ski bus takes you to the Javor / Zahrádky / Braunberg ski area in Pec pod Sněžkou in less than 5 minutes – 2 stops. The ski resort Portášky in Velká Úpa is only one stop away in the opposite direction. The ski resort Černá Hora can be reached by ski bus in about 20 minutes. You can then take the Pec Ski Tour on your way back- through the slopes of Černá Hora to Pec pod Sněžkou.
In summer there is a tourist bus in Pec pod Sněžkou or Velká Úpa. The cable car to Sněžka can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes.
In the garage there is a stand for your skis with sticks and an electric boot dryer. Furthermore, a bench with shoe rack, clothes rack, a helmet shelf and other equipment are available.
Parking
For convenient parking there are car parking spaces directly at the building and a garage for apartment guests.
Right next to our cottage Chata Orion, parking lots are available. Apartment guests may use the parking lot in the garage.
